About GLP-1 Medications
Zepbound is a once-weekly injection FDA-approved for weight loss in adults who are overweight or obese. It belongs to the GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) receptor agonist class of medications, which helps regulate the body’s response to food.
Originally developed for Type 2 diabetes, GLP-1 drugs like Zepbound increase insulin release after eating, which lowers blood sugar. They also slow digestion, allowing you to feel fuller longer and reduce overall calorie intake.
Zepbound goes a step further by combining GLP-1 with GIP (glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide), another hormone that helps reduce side effects like nausea and enhances fat-burning and insulin sensitivity. The result? Greater weight loss with improved tolerability.
In the SURMOUNT-5 clinical trial, patients lost an average of 20.2% of their body weight using Zepbound—significantly more than the average results seen with other GLP-1 medications. That’s an average of over 50 lbs lost in just over a year.
The only medication offered through our program is Zepbound, currently available in doses of 2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg, and 10mg. Patients receive four vials per treatment cycle, along with alcohol swabs, needles, and instructions.

How It Works
Step 1: Virtual Consultation
After completing our online questionnaire, you’ll meet with a Hudson provider to review your goals and determine potential eligibility.
Step 2: Lab Work & Medical Evaluation
If eligible, you’ll be referred for lab work. Once results are in, you’ll schedule an in-person visit for a full evaluation, physical exam, and program onboarding. The $100 initiation fee and first membership payment are due at this time.
Step 3: Start Your Treatment Cycle
Your prescription will be sent to Lilly Direct and shipped to your home. Each treatment cycle covers 28 days (4 weeks) of medication. Patients cannot change their dose mid-cycle, as all medication is pre-dosed and sent in full by the pharmacy.
Choose your care plan:
- Self-Administered: One virtual check-in per cycle. No ongoing in-person visits. Patients self-inject at home.
- In-Office Support: Weekly in-person visits with injection administered by Hudson staff. Patients must bring their medication safely to the spa. We are not responsible for improper storage or transport that may affect drug potency.
Step 4: Ongoing Oversight
Monthly or weekly follow-ups help monitor side effects and ensure safe dosage adjustments. Lab work is required at least annually, or more often if indicated.
Why Zepbound?
Zepbound (Tirzepatide) is a next-generation GLP-1 + GIP medication that:
- Slows digestion to keep you fuller longer
- Reduces cravings and emotional eating
- Improves insulin sensitivity and fat metabolism
- Is better tolerated than GLP-1-only medications
What sets Zepbound apart is its impressive results in clinical studies. In the SURMOUNT-5 phase 3 trial, participants taking Zepbound lost an average of 20.2% of their body weight over 72 weeks. That translates to an average loss of more than 50 pounds—a significantly greater reduction than seen with earlier GLP-1 medications like semaglutide.
This dual-action medication not only targets appetite regulation and satiety but also helps improve your metabolic function and energy balance. For many patients, it’s a powerful tool to finally break through weight loss plateaus and maintain long-term success.
