The Process

STEP 1: INITIAL CONSULTATION

In an initial complimentary consultation ($500 Value) with one of our medical providers, we will review your medical history, weight loss and/or management goals, perform a health exam and propose a preliminary treatment plan. If you choose to move forward, lab work will be referred out.

STEP 2: MEDICAL CLEARANCE

Once our team receives and reviews your lab work, our medical providers will determine if we can move forward with the Semaglutide injections and if any changes to your preliminary treatment plan must be made. A team member will contact you to schedule your initial in-office injection. The day you begin injections you will enroll into a monthly subscription plan for treatment that includes medical oversight and the medication (lab work not included).

STEP 3: MEDICAL OVERSIGHT

Over the course of your treatment, your medical provider will have regular check-ins with you to monitor your progress and provide medical oversight. This includes in-person evaluations where your vital signs will be monitored. Blood work will be required at least annually but may be required more frequently if abnormal or unexpected changes in your health or weight occur. Failure to complete the required bloodwork will result in a pause in your subscription, medication supply, and medical oversight.

STEP 4: WEEKLY INJECTIONS

Weekly injections of Semaglutide are required to stay on track until treatment is complete. For the first 4 weeks, these injections will be done in the office to monitor your progress and manage any side effects. Following the first 4 weeks, if you wish to self-inject in the comfort of your home on your own time, we will have the medication sent directly to you.

Yes, Semaglutide is approved by the FDA to help with chronic weight management in patients with a body mass index (BMI) of 27 or greater who have at least one related weight medical problem (high blood pressure, high cholesterol, type 2 diabetes, etc.) or in patients with a BMI of 30 or greater.

Like with any prescription medication there are risks and benefits. At your consultation we will have one of our medical providers review your medical history in detail and refer you for lab work which will be reviewed to determine if this course of treatment is safe and appropriate for you.  

No. Since it is often hard to get insurance reimbursement for this treatment, we have opted to provide Semaglutide for payment out-of-pocket only. Our pricing reflects all expenses the client is responsible for except required lab work. If you do have insurance, lab work can often be billed to insurance as many insurers cover routine CBC and CMP testing at no cost to the insured individual. This will vary based on individual insurance and lab facility utilized.     

Initially the dose will be low so you may only notice slight changes to weight. Once the full dose is reached around 8 weeks (about 2 months) you can expect to notice weight loss.

Semaglutide is a once weekly injection. Initially you will start at a low dose and titrate up as your body tolerates.  

Semaglutide is a long-term weight management drug if well tolerated. Your provider will help you determine how long you should stay on the medication based on your goals.  

The most common side effects are related to the impact the drug has on slowing the digestive system – nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, upset stomach, bloating, belching, gas, and heartburn. Some patients also have side effects related to low blood sugar levels – headache, tiredness (fatigue), and dizziness. 

Yes, after you have received your first month of injections without side effects. Patients will be given the choice to either continue receiving injections in the office or can transition to performing them in their home.

We do not recommend stopping Semaglutide without consulting your medical provider as stopping without tapering off can cause side effects.  

After stopping Semaglutide it is important to maintain healthy lifestyle modifications like diet, portion control and exercise. Maintaining these elements will help you keep the weight off as you may experience return of cravings and appetite. It is normal to regain some of the weight lost, but many patients can retain most of their weight loss with proper discipline. The most important thing is not reverting to old habits.


We are using a compounded version of the drug that supplies the drug in active form. It has been approved for FDA use due to drug shortages with the name-brand. It is a generic version. If you would like the name-brand (Ozempic), this is possible, for additional fees. These fees are based on the price of the product and vary but are around $1,000/month more expensive.
